Bucharest Summer School 9 – 13 October 2012
PDC announces the organization of Bucharest CBA School in the period 9 – 13 October 2012. The school is organised by PDC (Bucharest) in collaboration with CSIL Centre for Industrial Studies, Milan, and the University of Milan, Italy, who developed a number of guidelines including the new edition of the Guide to Cost Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects of the European Commission, DG Regional Policy, with Professor Massimo Florio (University of Milan) as Scientific Director.

Also, an intervention on the importance of the CBA as an evaluation tool for present and future projects financed through Structural Funds, will be held by the Authority for Coordination of Structural Instrument, through Mrs. Angelica Vladescu.
The trainings main objective is that the participants acquire theoretical knowledge on the elaboration of a CBA and practical experience through the review and assessment of a case study.
Applicants must possess good English skills as well as economic and/or social sciences skills. Applications can be submitted by September 30, 2012, by completing the atached Registration Form.
Admitted participants will pay the fee of € 1,000 (ecluded VAT) by October 2, 2012. Payments should be performed by bank wire transfer on the account provided. The fee includes: lunches, coffee breaks, training materials, CD with Cost Benefit Analysis manuals, working papers and other relevant texts, certificate of attendance. Suggestions for suitable accommodations in Bucharest at special rates will be provided as well as reservation proceedings, should those suggestions be chosen. Travel and accommodation costs will be at participants’ own expenses.
